These Terms govern your use of Our World on Tap (the “Service”), operated by Joshua Cassin, sole trader, based in New Zealand (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Our World on Tap is a beer discovery and palate-matching app. It lets drinkers log and rate beers, scan menus and taplists, and receive personalised recommendations. It also offers tools for beer judges and breweries.

2. Eligibility

You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation (e.g. a brewery), you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
• send spam, malware, or attempt to probe, scan, or circumvent our security;
• scrape, mass-download, or resell data from the Service.

5. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including its software, branding, and documentation. You retain rights in the content you submit (ratings, notes, photos) and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host and process that content solely so we can provide the Service.

6. Payment, subscriptions, refunds and taxes

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, cancellations, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.

7. AI-assisted features

Features such as scan recognition, palate matching, and recommendations are generated using machine learning. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on, and outputs are not professional advice. You must not use these features to generate illegal content, infringe rights, or attempt to jailbreak the underlying models.

8. Service availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
